Álvaro De la Herrán works the visual arts fundamentally through cinematography, video art and photography. His artistic career has been transversal during the last twenty years, preferring a multidisciplinary experience, as a consequence of a permanent curiosity to develop his expressive needs and shape his interpretation of reality through the creation of images and stories. The search for identity in an increasingly individualistic society, the individual's relationship with nature, pain management or the exploration of the female psyche are some of the themes that Álvaro has explored through his work, always looking for a emotional connection with the viewer.
Some of his audiovisual works have been exhibited at the Balenciaga Museum in Bilbao, El Museo del Traje in Madrid or at the Palazzo Morando in Milan.
